Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-21
Witchdle is a free daily puzzle game. We don't ask for accounts or email and we don't run our own analytics. The site is supported by advertising via Google AdSense, which uses cookies — full details below.
What stays on your device
These never leave your browser:
- Your daily game progress (guesses, wins, lives) in localStorage
- Your selected language in a cookie named "locale"
What we store on our servers
Only anonymous aggregate counts — nothing on our side is tied to you personally:
- How many people attempted each daily puzzle
- How many people solved each daily puzzle
- No IP addresses, no device identifiers, no personal data in our own database
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We display advertising through Google AdSense to keep the site free. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads. These ads may be personalized based on your visits to this and other websites.
- You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com
- Visitors from the EU, UK, and EEA will see a consent dialog before personalized ads are shown, as required by GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive
- Google's own privacy and ad policies are available at policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Third-party services
We use the following providers to run the site. They may process technical data (such as your IP address) as part of normal operation:
- Vercel — hosts the application
- Supabase — stores puzzle data and serves character images
- Google AdSense — displays advertising (see the section above)
- Ko-fi — embeds the optional "tip jar" button; the button only loads Ko-fi resources when shown
Your rights
Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing tied to you to access, export, or delete. Clearing your browser data removes everything Witchdle has stored locally.
Disclaimer
